This is a grassroots effort: We are collecting individual donations to send 2-time AMA Superstock champion Jimmy Moore to the 2010 Isle Of Man TT. AIM: To send a competitive rider to the Isle of Man TT races, and put an American on the podium for the second time in 103 years. MEANS: A grass-roots campaign in which American motorcycle riders and race fans will be able to contribute small amounts (as little as $10) and have their names on a bike which will race on the TT course. LONG RANGE GOAL: Establish an efficient organization, which will be self-supporting and continue to send TT entries with selected American riders in years to come, expanding awareness of the event and increasing the fan base among US motorcycle riders and race fans.
The pioneering new series, known as the EV (Electric Vehicles) Cup, is working with vehicle manufacturers to bring together a range of electric powered cars to race at top circuits throughout Europe. The site does not at this day have enough details, but the format should be car racing on race tracks. (Not motorcycles or dragsters) The cars will be electric. The EV Cup events initially plan to feature three different sectors of cars – City, Sports and Prototypes.

It begins with a 19+ horsepower (14,400 watt) electric vehicle motor and programmable controller. The power is stored in a special quick-change power pack that can deliver up to 600 amps. Then it's wrapped in the lightest handcrafted aluminum frame made in the USA.
They have designed, are making and selling, a high speed electric motorcycle in the offroad dirt styling. As said above it is a powerful motor (the Perm 132) mated with a high power battery pack and controller.
The goal of the Electrathon is to provide a spectator sport that will build public awareness of the capabilities and potential of efficient electric vehicles.
Developed around specific rules designed to keep costs down and competition high, these unique vehicles offer an opportunity and challenge to experiment, learn and compete.
Electrathon is a tremendous educational opportunity and a stimulating sport for schools with industrial arts curriculum combining physics, mathematics, electronics, auto technology and graphic design. It's a hobby for tinkerers and experimenters of any age.
The Electrathon format rewards strategy, skill and common sense, by limiting battery capacity and rewarding endurance.

“Suck Amps EV Racing” is the latest name for the racing team of EV Parts Inc. It is the offshoot of Roderick’s “The Wilde Bunch” Team Electric Racing from the early days of EV racing at Wilde Evolutions, Inc. The term “Suck Amps” was coined in 1993 by Abby Wilde, Roderick’s wife at the time. She was being interviewed by a film crew at the Solar and Electric 500 at PIR (Phoenix International Raceway in Phoenix Arizona) right after Roderick had run away with the C Stock event. They asked her how he was able to do so well. She replied that Roderick had won by sucking a lot of amps and “sucking amps” became a slang term synonymous with electric racing. “Suck Amps EV Racing” continues to push the envelope of electric vehicles in order to pave the way for acceptance of this very old form of transportation. As Roderick says: “We live in a fad culture. If EV’s become cool then everyone will want one and this chunk of ground we inhabit will be a much better place.”
