Nissan Green Program

Nisan regards the following three issues as paramount: reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions; minimizing emissions to preserve the atmosphere, water and soil; and the recycling of resources (reduce/reuse/recycle). The Nissan Green Program is a mid-term environmental action plan with focused objectives and activities meant to tackle these three key issues. We achieved virtually all of the objectives we set for the previous plan, Nissan Green Program 2005. The Nissan Green Program 2010 sets new objectives and plans between now and 2010.

The G-Wiz electric car owners club

Description: 

The G-Wiz electric car owners club is an informal group of G-Wiz electric car owners and enthusiasts. Formed in the Summer of 2006, it exists as a forum to exchange views and ideas, and for occasional social meetings with like-minded people.

Membership is free and is open to all. Central to the club's activities is the on-line forums, where people can exchange views and ideas online. Recent forum discussions have included all areas of G-Wiz electric car ownership, as well as discussions on alternative electric cars and technologies.

The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington, D.C.

Description: 

The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington, D.C. is a non profit (501 [c]3) organization of electric vehicle owners, hobbyists, educators and enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the use of electric vehicles (EV's) as an environmental and energy alternative. EVA/DC was formed in 1980 as a chapter of the nationwide Electric Auto Association (EAA), and holds regular monthly meetings, public displays, car shows and "tech" sessions to exchange information.

Th!nk is a Norweigan company that has designed a range of electric cars. At times they have sold those cars, and at one time they were owned by the Ford Motor Company. However Ford backed out of the EV business and dumped Th!nk shortly afterward. Th!nk is currently struggling to stay in business, has some investors, and some interesting vehicles, and hopefully they will be able to make it.

Zap! Xebra

The Xebra is a three wheel car, four seater, four door, that is electrically driven. It is made in China, imported to the U.S. by Zap. It gets a 40 mile range and 40 miles/hr speed, though probably not both at the same time.

Meyers Motors, maker of the NmG

Description: 

eyers Motors, is the designer and maker of the NmG. NmG stands for No More Gas, as this is a pure electric car. It is a three-wheel car, single seat, drives at speeds up to 70 miles/hr and gets up to 30 miles per charge range.

The cars design was derived from the Sparrow, originally made and sold by Corbin. The NmG has an updated design.

Tesla Motors

Description: 

Tesla Motors is an electric car company based in Silicon Valley. Their first car was released July 21, 2006 and is an ultra high speed and high performance sports car.

National Electric Drag Racing Association (NEDRA)

Description: 

The National Electric Drag Racing Association (NEDRA) exists to increase public awareness of electric vehicle (EV) performance and to encourage through competition, advances in electric vehicle technology. NEDRA achieves this by organizing and sanctioning safe, silent and exciting electric vehicle drag racing events.

NEDRA is a coalition of drag racing fans, electric drag racing vehicle owners and drivers, individuals interested in promoting the sport of EV drag racing, EV parts suppliers, EV manufacturers and other environmentally concerned companies and individuals. Working together as a group, we put excitement into electric vehicle drag racing.
