Wikipedia's information page about plug-in hybrid vehicles.
They are establishing a center in North Central Washington for testing and demonstrating Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV's); nurturing business focusing on PHEV's, biofuels, and solar energy; and educating the public about these new exciting technologies. Their site shows a Prius with a sticker claiming 100+ miles/gallon, presumably a plug-in hybrid conversion. It also shows a plug-in hybrid biodiesel school bus. It's unclear if any of this are products they're developing, or just demonstration projects they've done.
They have developed a kit to convert a Prius to be a plug-in hybrid vehicle. It seems they've been doing this conversion since 2006, and that they've received over 10,000 queries.
A Wiki recording information about plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
A Colorado based company developing kits for converting Prius and Escape hybrids to plug-in hybrid. The kits are due to be available in August 2007.
A green technology company, is to provide a new generation of hybrid and alternative fuel solutions to our customers who value green and innovative technologies. They are developing a conversion kit for the Prius to make it a plug-in hybrid. They were recently purchased by A123Systems, so clearly their future conversion kit will use A123systems batteries.
Provides leading edge consulting, design and prototyping services for system integration, management and monitoring of electrochemical energy systems such as batteries and fuel cells. They are said to be the grandaddy company of plug-in hybrid vehicles.
A manufacturer of custom power products. The company quickly became an industry leader in rugged AC and DC uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for military and industrial power conditioning and backup. Our RuggedUPS products are trusted in punishing environments found in war, heavy industry, and transportation.
In 2000, the company expanded into power generation by acquiring intellectual property for an innovative tubular solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) design. Acumentrics improved the technology in “stealth mode” for over five years. Internal development has made the fuel cells 60X more effective. Presently the company sells fuel cell power generators in the 1-10kW range to qualified customers and partners. They are used for silent, standalone generation and combined heat and power.
Our fuel cells offer significant advantages over traditional engine- and turbine-powered generators: no compression/combustion cycles, no moving parts, minimal ongoing maintenance, and negligible levels of pollutants. The company’s patented tubular solid oxide fuel cell design offers efficiency and operational advantages over competing fuel cell and power solutions for commercial, industrial, residential, and communications uses.
Has developed a true solar charging system for Hybrid Electric Vehicles that provides increased electric driving range and improved fuel economy. It consists of flexible solar panels attached to the roof (of a Prius).
The side was on line for some years and then I wanted to change some things in and I did no publish agan. I have to complete some steps and I will publish it again
